What do Water Crystals, Masaru Emoto and the Law of Attraction Have in Common?

The law of attraction is basically the opposite to what your mum used to tell you when the other kids at school made fun of you – opposites don’t attract, but rather like attracts like.
So this brings us to the age old saying: People who think and act positively will experience positive energy - people who surround themselves with negative and damaging energy will more likely experience negative effects.
This is a very basic idea. Do good and good things will happen to you. But it extents further than just ‘doing’ good. It extends thinking and feeling positively, to being positive.
Now, what does all this have to do with water crystals and Dr Masaru Emoto?
In an experiment, which was never fully disclosed and has therefore attracted a fair bit of criticism and skepticism over the years, he tested what effect positive and negative energy can have on WATER and the crystalline structure of it.
He used words, pictures, music and general noise to “stimulate” water and after freezing it analysed the structure of the water crystals that were formed. What he concluded was that the water taken from clean streams, or was exposed to positive energy and thoughts formed finished, often symmetrical and “beautiful” crystals. Water taken from polluted lakes, or exposed to negative energy and words like “anger” or “war” often formed water crystals that were uneven, broken and “ugly”.
There are many discussion still going on today about the validity and outcome of these experiments. And after Emoto’s death in 2014 they will likely remain fairly speculative. But one thing is undoubtedly true: our body is made up of 60% of water.
Whether or not this 60% will crystallize differently when you are upset or happy is food for thought, and when you look at the extensive research proving the impact that negative and positive energy has on the other 40% of you…well maybe we should more clearly embrace the notion of doing good will do you good, and start embracing the view that our mind is a powerful tool and by the same token, the brain is a muscle we can train – and training it to think positive thoughts and surround itself with positive energy is something that everyone should strive for.
